Typhoon ‘TRAMI’ will affect Vietnam,Laos and Cambodia
Typhoon‘TRAMI’is expected to move towards the west at a speed of 15-20 km/h, with its intensity likely to increase further, potentially reaching typhoon strength (33-35 m/s, BF 12). It will be almost stationary in the west central South China Sea since the night of the 27th, with its intensity gradually weakening. There will be strong winds of BF 5-8 in the northern and central Vietnam from the night of the 26th to the night of the 28th, the offshore of central Vietnam may see winds of BF 9-10, with gusts reaching BF 11-12.
It is anticipated that from the 27th to the 29th, the circulation of Typhoon‘TRAMI’will continue to affect the eastern part of the Indochinese Peninsula. The central part of Vietnam, southern Laos, northern Cambodia, and eastern Thailand will experience heavy rainfall, with locally heavy storms. Parts of central Vietnam and southern Laos may see extremely heavy rainfall. The persistent rainfall in central Vietnam may lead to accumulated precipitation exceeding 500 millimeters in some areas, which may cause local flooding or landslides.
