Typhoon "Man-yi" affects the Philippines
The 24th typhoon of this year, "Man-yi", has intensified from a severe tropical storm to a typhoon level as of this morning (15th). The maximum wind force near the center is 12 levels (35 m/s), the minimum central pressure is 970 hPa, the radius of the 7-level wind circle is 200-280 kilometers, the radius of the 10-level wind circle is 50-60 kilometers, and the radius of the 12-level wind circle is 30 kilometers.
It is expected that "Man-yi" will move northwestward at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, gradually intensifying, with the maximum intensity reaching super typhoon level. It will approach the eastern coastal area of the Philippines and cross Luzon Island, entering the middle-eastern part of the South China Sea on the 18th, where it will gradually weaken. Around the 17th, it will bring significant wind and rain to parts of the Philippines.
