France, Spain, and Portugal Continue to Experience Persistent High Temperatures
Influenced by an upper-level warm ridge (Figure 1), a widespread and persistent heatwave is expected across France, Spain, Portugal, and northern Italy over the next week. Maximum temperatures in some areas will reach 35-38℃, with localized areas in Spain and France exceeding 40℃ (Figure 2). Precautions should be taken to mitigate the adverse impacts of the prolonged heat on power grid management and fire prevention efforts. Additionally, outdoor workers should take necessary measures to prevent heatstroke and stay cool.
