Venezuela to Experience Frequent Showers Over the Next Three Days
Influenced by the easterly flow of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (Figure 1), scattered precipitation is expected across most of Venezuela from the 27th to the 29th, primarily as light to moderate rain, with localized heavy rain. Accumulated rainfall in the central and southern regions will range from 30 to 50 mm, exceeding 70 mm in localized areas (Figure 2). Specifically, on the 27th, light rain will affect the northwest, while moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of Bolívar and Amazonas states. On the 28th, precipitation will intensify, bringing light to moderate rain to most areas; however, heavy rain or intense downpours will occur in parts of Portuguesa, Bolívar, and Apure states, with some areas experiencing severe convective weather such as thunderstorm gales and short-term heavy rainfall. On the 29th, moderate rain will affect the western and southern regions, with localized heavy downpours.
