Much of Europe is experiencing another heatwave 

Under the influence of a warm ridge (Fig.1), high temperatures above 35°C will be recorded in parts of Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Sardinia, northern Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, northern Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, south-central Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, northern Bosnia and Herzegovina, northern Serbia, central and western Albania, and western Greece over the next three days. Specifically, local maximum temperatures in Spain, southern France, Italy, northeastern Austria, southwestern Slovakia, central Hungary, and southern Croatia are forecast to exceed 40°C (Fig.2), potentially nearing or exceeding historical records for this time of year.
