Persistent High Temperatures Continue in Spain, France, and Germany
Influenced by an upper-level warm ridge (Figure 1), a widespread and persistent heatwave will affect Spain, France, southern Germany, and northern Italy over the next week. In some areas, maximum temperatures will reach 35–38℃, with localized spots in Spain and France exceeding 40℃ (Figure 2). This event carries a certain degree of extremity. It is necessary to guard against the adverse impacts of the prolonged heat on power dispatch, outdoor operations, and crop growth, as well as potential secondary disasters such as forest fires that may be triggered (Figure 3).
