Australia and Other Regions to Experience Significant Rainfall
Over the next three days, a tropical disturbance system will continue to impact Australia (Figure 1). The system will gradually move westward from central-northern Australia into the sea. Heavy to torrential rain is expected in most of the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia, with localized extremely heavy downpours. Accumulated precipitation will range from 40 to 90 millimeters, with some areas exceeding 150 millimeters (Figure 2).
