According to China News Network, Tropical Cyclone "Seroja" has hit southeast Indonesia and East Timor, leading to floods and landslides that have killed hundreds and displaced thousands for the two countries.

According to the National Meteorological Centre of CMA, cyclone Seroja was located on the sea about 220 kilometers southwest of Sumba Island, Indonesia (see below) at 20:00 6th April (Beijing time) with the maximum wind speed of 10 category (25 m/s, equivalent to severe Tropical Storm level for China).

It is estimated that Seroja will move toward southwest at a speed of around 10 km/hour and the intensity will remain. Strong winds and rainfall are expected from the night of 6th to the daytime of 7th for central and eastern Java, Nusa Tenggara and other places of Indonesia accompanied by strong convective weather such as thunderstorms.
