Tropical Storm Etau has formed on this morning of November 9, 2020 and its center currently is located over the South China Sea, about 470 kilometers south of the Hainan province of China (12.7N, 113.2E) with the maximum wind of 20 m/s, minximum pressure of 995hPa.

Etau is expected to move westward at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour, and to gradually intensify into the Severe Tropical Storm (STS) with the maximum wind of 25-30 m/s, and will make landfall in the southern coast of the Vietnam on the morning the Novermber 10, 2020.
