Influenced by cold vortex and high trough (Figure 1), in the next three days, Portugal, Spain, western France, Italy, countries on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea, western Romania, and Bulgaria will have moderate to heavy rain, with some regions experiencing rainstorm. Among these regions, light to moderate snow or sleet is expected in high-altitude areas such as northern Italy and northern Spain, accompanied by local heavy snow or blizzards. In addition, moderate to heavy snow will hit the western and the southern of Central Europe as well as the central and the southern of Eastern Europe. Blizzards or severe blizzards will batter the central of Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania, with such heavy snowfall exhibiting a certain degree of extremism  (Figure 2). In Eastern Europe, the northwestern of southern Europe, temperatures will drop by 8-12 ℃, with some areas exceeding 14 ℃ (Figure 3). Attention should be paid to the adverse effects of strong wind and rain weather on industries such as transportation, agriculture, and energy.
