South Africa and other areas have experienced heavy rainfall
I. Observation
Affected by a low-vortex in the southern hemisphere's westerly belt, since April 6th (Beijing time, hereinafter), stronger wind and rain have been observed in regions such as South Africa. Most parts of South Africa, as well as areas in Lesotho and Eswatini, have experienced moderate to heavy rainfall. Severe to heavy storms have hit the southwestern and eastern parts of South Africa and Eswatini, with locally accumulated rainfall exceeding 150 mm. The coastal regions in the west of South Africa have experienced winds with 6 to 8 Bft and above.

II. Forecast
It is anticipated that from April 9th to 10th, under the influence of the slow eastward movement of the low-vortex, stronger wind and rain will continue to affect southern and eastern parts of South Africa, eastern Botswana, Lesotho, and Eswatini. Most of these areas will experience moderate to heavy rain, with local heavy downpours. The eastern coastal region of South Africa will experience winds of 6 to 8 Bft, with gusts reaching above 9 Bft.
