Between January 17th and 18th, under the influence of a Mediterranean cyclone, strong wind and rain will occur in the southern Calabria region, Sicily, Sardinia of Italy, as well as in the northern parts of Algeria and Tunisia. Most of these areas will experience moderate to heavy rain, with some areas receiving torrential rain and locally excessive rain. This will accompany by winds of 4 to 6 levels, with gusts reaching 7 to 8 levels. It is necessary to take precautions against the adverse effects brought by the intense wind and rain.

From January 16 to 18, under the influence of a cut-off low vortex, the southeastern coastal areas of Australia will experience strong wind and rainstorms. Most regions will have moderate to heavy rainfall, with torrential rain in the northern part of Newcastle, and locally heavy rainstorm. Accompanied by winds of 4 to 6 levels, with gusts reaching 7 to 9 levels, precautions should be taken against urban flooding and small and medium-sized river floods and other disasters.
