"Alvin" Bring Strong Wind and Heavy Rain to West Coast of Mexico
Tropical Storm "Alvin" in the northeastern Pacific is expected to move northward at a speed of 15-20 km/h with little change in intensity (Figure 1). Affected by this storm, from May 31 to June 2, parts of the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Baja California Sur, and Sinaloa will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, with localized torrential rain or downpour (Figure 2). These regions will also be subjected to strong winds of 13-23 m/s on the Beaufort scale, with gusts reaching 25-31 m/s. Continuous monitoring of the tropical storm's strong winds and high waves is advised, along with precautions against potential secondary disasters.
