The meteorological observation in CMA has been certified ISO 9001 since 2017. It has been applied in the surface, upper-air and space-based integrated meteorological observation system.The CMA Observation QMS is made up of three processes, including Business Process (BP), Support Process (SP) and Management Process (MP). By the end of 2020, all meteorological departments in China are expected to obtain the ISO 9001 certification for meteorological observation and will put the Quality Management System (QMS) into full operation.
