Heavy Rainfall in Nepal and India
Continuous rainfall will persist across eastern India, Nepal, and Bangladesh influenced by a monsoon depression in the next 5 days,heavy and locally very heavy rain and intense thunderstorm are expected in western Nepal, as well as the Indian states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh(Figure 1). Accumulated rainfall will range from 60 to 150 mm, with some areas exceeding 200 mm, and localized totals in east India surpassing 250 mm (Figure 2).There is a high risk of local inundation, flash floods, and geophysical disasters such as landslides over above area.
